The long-standing friendship between Adele and Kendrick Lamar is known, but the British star also maintains a strong friendship with Drake.

As she continues to promote her new album 30 , Adele gave an interview this week on CBC Radio. During the interview Adele explained that Drake and Lamar are part of an   “endangered species” before revealing that her connection with Drizzy is “one of the greatest gifts” of his entire career.

“We are an endangered race,” she said of the fact that she and the Torontonian are both mega stars. “There were ten of us. You know, I don’t think we’ll be as many at the top yet doing it the way we used to…. We came out before streaming. We got out before all the social media frenzies, like, you know, “You have five seconds to entertain us, or else get the hell out of it.” We existed in the old school. “

She went on to say that her friendship with the artist has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her career, adding, “I can tell him something, and he won’t judge me for that, you know? So having access to someone who’s in the same position as [me] is, like, one of the greatest gifts of my entire career. “

Ahead of her album’s release, Adele revealed in October that she had played a few songs for Drake while visiting her hometown, saying, “I played Drake last year when he was in town. . And I was like ‘is this what people want or don’t want?’ He said ‘absolutely’, but that’s it. Drake is obviously amazing and awesome, besides being my mate, but I don’t send the song to everyone and say, “Can I get your opinion on this?” “.
