BJ the Chicago Kid released Snowflakes in collaboration with Susan Carol.
Her recent nomination for the 2022 Grammy Awards didn’t give the Chicago kid a moment’s respite. BJ The Chicago Kid has sacrificed yet again in its Wednesday tradition. Indeed, Wednesdays are the favorite day for BJ The Chicago Kid, to release new singles. This Wednesday saw him lay a song announcing low temperatures. Entitled Snowflakes, this song featured the participation of Susan Carol.
Snowflakes from top to bottom
Snowflakes features a blanket with vegetation that undergoes snowfall. On this track, BJ The Chicago Kid and his occasional associate chronicles a relationship in which the warm loving heart is trapped in a sort of coldness. This coldness has for immediate consequence the programmed end of this relation which will not be able to keep the promises formerly announced in 6 Months. This new single follows BJ’s Grammy for a performance of Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home To Me” with fellow contestants PJ Morton, Kenyon Dixon and Charlie Bereal in the category for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
BJ and his EP Three
The Chicago Kid recently released a new track called Making Me Mad. This new single is the first single BJ released from his new EP, Three, arriving on MAFE Music. This title still speaks of love but with a partner who feeds on toxicity. The piece is characterized by a strong flute accompaniment. It is with some projects of BJ Wednesdays (Smooth and 6 Months) the main backbone of the next project Three.
Commenting on this release, BJ said, “ It’s nice to be independent and to finally be able to offer my fans the music that I created closer to when it was created. It’s a stimulating feeling because I think that as artists, a lot of times when a project comes out, we’ve emotionally detached from it. Three is special because it’s really my current take or feelings about love and relationships instead of my thoughts from 1 or 2 years ago! “.
