G-EAZY RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM DRAKE AND CARDI B AFTER HIS MOTHER’S DEATH: “THE TEARS DON’T STOP”

G-Eazy has announced that his mother, Suzanne Olmsted, has passed away. The Bay Area rapper paid tribute to what he calls his “hero” in a moving Instagram post detailing his grief.

“  I love you so much,” he began. ”  The shock still won’t let me accept the feeling that I will never be able to hug you in person again.” My queen, my heroine, my everything… my mom. The tears don’t stop. My eyes hurt, my face hurts, my body hurts, everything hurts. There is no safe place to hide and there is no way to lie, sit or stand that doesn’t hurt. The pain is enormous. But I know that you are delivered from yours and that brings me peace. “ The message was posted, followed by a series of photographs and a voice message, in which the mother said how proud she is of her son.

G-Eazy also opened up that his mother persuaded him to seek treatment for his drug and alcohol addiction.

“As deeply as I worried about you and your physical health, I didn’t realize how much you worried about me until you sent me the hardest letter I’ve ever had.” to read, ” he admitted . “Taking drug and alcohol treatment was my decision, but it was your letter that finally convinced me. ”  

While showing his gratitude for the love she gave to him and his brother, he continued, “  They say the opposite of addiction is connection, and I have never felt so connected to you as much as these last months. Getting home hasn’t been easy, and nothing will ever get going… but like you always said, ‘one step at a time and don’t look at the top. “

To end the post, G-Eazy pledged to support his younger brother James

“  You loved your two boys more than life itself and we love you the same. Fortunately, we have both to hold onto and support each other and that’s all that matters. Our hearts are broken, but they are full of love and gratitude for the life you have given us. With us forever… we love you mom. “

The post received support from a number of rappers who testified to their closeness in the comments section, Drake writes, “  Rest sweet lady always showed me the most love. ” Cardi B added:”  My to you and your family condolences. “
