Morray and BLEU speak out following their 2022 Grammy nominations

Sharing is caring!

Morray and BLEU, two artists considered safe bets for the future of Hip Hop, expressed their gratitude on social media following their nomination for the 2022 Grammy AwardS.

The 2021 Grammy awardS are over and all eyes are now on the 2022 edition. On Tuesday, November 23, the Recording Academy published the end-of-year results to determine the nominated artists in the different categories. The results have, of course, not pleased some including Miley Cyrus , but the lucky nominees have only feelings of pride and joy to express. Among them are Morray and BLEU, two talents present in the DX Rising Stars 2021 of the HipHopDX site. These are artists who have been able to develop good music, stage presence and an original personality.

Morray and his year of consecration

Morray stood out a lot this year 2021. And he is not ready to forget this very beneficial year for him. It ends this year, subject to other possible accolades, with a double nomination at the 2022 Grammy Awards. It is nominated alongside J. Cole for “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song.” “

The year started for the artist with his single “Quicksand”. He signed a deal with Interscope Records. He also knows what it means to be a homeowner. He bought his first house that same year. Above all, he had the privilege of participating in the production of J. Cole’s album The Off-Season on the track “”. This collaboration gave him a somewhat precocious visibility for the artist himself and it is moreover this collaboration which earned him one of his nominations. He spoke briefly on twitter taking stock of his appointments. “2x Grammy nominated Morray…  ” he wrote.

BLUE and the confirmation of being a rising star

BLEU was also nominated for the 2022 Grammy Awards. It is featured because of its collaboration on Paradise with HER on HER’s Back of My Mind album. Recognized by HipHopDX, just like Morray, as one of the talents to watch closely, BLEU expressed his joy by referring to his CV. “  Add Grammy nominated songwriter to my CV @hermusicofficial congratulations on being nominated for album of the year, proud to be a part of this #Paradise, ” he wrote.

BLEU does not necessarily let itself be impressed by this nomination since it has had many others. BLEU has already won a BET Hip Hop Award for Best New Artist and is nominated for three Soul Train Awards, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration for “You’re Mine Still” with Drake. Yesterday, November 28, he won the Soul Train award for best new artist. His collaboration with Drake is platinum single after having been gold on several occasions.

BLUE features an album Moon Boy, which also peaked at N0. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart. More recently, BLEU has gained further weight with their single “Baddest” with Chris Brown and 2 Chainz. The single landed at # 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
