NBA YoungBoy’s move to Clubhouse propels the platform on the App Store

The latest hype around Clubhouse has settled, but it could be the NBA Youngboy fanbase that is reigniting the platform’s popularity, at least on the App Store. This would have flooded the Apple App Store to download the episode of Clubhouse after the recent appearance of YB on the platform.

Last week Youngboy made an appearance on Clubhouse where he joined Akademiks for an in-depth interview. He has discussed everything from his crush on Doja Cat to his listening habits, which apparently exclude many of his peers such as Lil Baby, 21 Savage and Polo G.

An immediate impact on the popularity of the platform

The conversation sparked plenty of viral snippets, but it appears to have also led to a surge in Clubhouse downloads from the Apple App Store. As Akademiks reports , the app previously occupied 60th place on the App Store before propelling itself to 5th place in the days following Youngboy’s intervention It’s an impressive feat, showing the extent of Youngboy’s influence on young people, even though he calls himself the black sheep of the industry.

Youngboy’s conversation with Akademiks wasn’t his only appearance in Clubhouse. A few days later, he entered a room where 21 Savage was talking and started trolling him. Then, he animated his own play when the mother of his child, Yaya Mayweather, entered the conversation. Maybe we’ll hear more about NBA Youngboy thanks to his new presence on Clubhouse.

On a related note, the rapper was due to release his long-awaited collaboration with Birdman, From The Bayou , which never happened on Friday . At this point, it would be surprising if it saw the light of day.
