In BET ‘s oral history on “  Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory” , Quincy Jones III aka “QD3” recounts this anecdote. It’s about Michael Jackson who refused to collaborate with 2pac on “Thug Nature” . A refusal motivated by his loyalty to the illustrious The Notorious BIG .

According to HipHopDX , QD3 explained, “So I set up a meeting at Neverland. I’m going up there and talking to Michael about it. Do you know what Michael said? That he loves Biggie” .

Originally thought to be released around the time of Jackson ‘s “Thriller” album , the collaboration on “Thug Nature” was no longer made. He was therefore removed from the “Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory” project . It will finally be released in 2000 on the Death Row compilation “Too Gangsta For Radio” .

QD3 talked about what it was like working with 2pac . Indeed, they had the opportunity to work together on many projects and precisely on “Heaven Ain’t Hard 2 Find” . He explains that he was a maniac, able to express himself calmly, but who sometimes screams. “He took all these rhythms to work on, including the ones that I will never reveal. he added.
