Rapper Foogiano indicted for illegal possession of firearms

Foogiano has been indicted on federal gun-related charges following an incident in South Carolina on July 5, 2020, according to Greenville Online.

Foogiano, whose real name is Kwame Brown, was headlining a concert at the Lavish Lounge in Greenville County. During the performance, a mass shooting took place. The bullets hit 10 people and killed two, making it one of the largest shootings in recent county history. People aged 21 to 51 have been affected, including Mykala Bell, 23, and Clarence Sterling Johnson Jr, 51, who lost their lives.  

Those responsible for the shooting were among   Foogiano’s ” entourage “, according to Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis. A man named Jarquez Kezavion was arrested days after the shooting and charged with murder, while others suspected of being involved remain on trial.

Rapper faces two counts of illegal gun possession

On the night of the shooting, a 40-caliber Glock pistol and ammunition were found in the rapper’s possession, but authorities say he did not shoot. Gucci Mane’s signer appeared in United States District Court on Friday, December 10, and the documents were released on Monday, December 13 when he was arrested and charged.

Earlier this year, Foogiano was arrested in Tennessee for violating his probation. He is currently awaiting a judge’s decision after requesting to be returned to Georgia state detention. He proposed to his partner Renni Rucci in marriage behind bars in October. The following month, he took to Instagram to express his gratitude for retaining him.
