Skylar Gray won’t give up on her dream as an artist
Skylar Gray is a name that is very well known in the music industry because of her skill as a songwriter. In the 2010s, she had written many successful titles such as: “Clarity” by Zedd , “coming home” by Diddy , “Love the way you lie” by Eminem and Rihanna .
In a recent encounter with Variety , she confides that the last five years have been very difficult for her because of her divorce: “ Last year 2021, we finally resolved our divorce, I had to sell my catalog in order to pay fees, which was very sad in a way” . Although she no longer owns her songs, she feels she would be forever because she wrote them. She would have liked to keep them, but she had to pay the lawyers who no longer call her today for fees.
She looks to the future to launch new musical projects. In the sequel, she compared what she experiences with managers to what Ye ‘s case was revealed in “jeen-yuhs” . She would like managers to see her as an artist too, as it is her dream rather than a songwriter.
