The Algorithm is available

Algorithm is Snoop’s first outing on Def Jam after he took on the role of creative and strategic executive consultant for the legendary label. Snoop Dogg officially announced the album on October 26, 2021, postulating it as “Album of the Year”.

He then released the singles Big Subwoofer on October 20 and Murder Music on November 5. But before that, he appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 27 to teaser the album in preparation, and in The Joe Rogan Experience podcast to promote it. Through this album Snoop seeks to highlight the veterans and the newcomers.

“Algorithm is a project that I set up specifically on Def Jam Records to get a few new artists, a few established artists, and a few friends of mine to make a damn good record to finish this year,” Snoop recently told Complex. .

The album is led by Mount Westmore’s single Big Subwoofer with Ice Cube, Too Short and E-40 . Aside from Jadakiss , Benny The Butcher and Busta Rhymes who appear on the second single Murder Music, other guests on the LP are Method Man and Redman, Mary J. Blige, Blxst, Ty Dolla Sign, Kokane, Usher, Wiz Khalifa, Dave East, Fabolous. “There is so much talent on this record,” said Snoop, ”“ so many styles of music, it breaks the algorithm. Right now, the algorithm is telling us that we have to rap in such a way, that we have to sound that way, but it doesn’t tell us how we should feel. My algorithm will give you a feel, not a sound. ”
