The popular 50 Cent series, Power Book II: Ghost, has officially been renewed for a third season. STARZ announced this renewal on Tuesday, December 7 via a flattering press release from its CEO Jeffrey Hirsch.
” The continued success and cultural resonance of the Power Universe is unparalleled, and fans are clearly still hungry for more of Power Book II: Ghost,” Hirsch said in the release. “ We can’t wait for the third season of this star-studded series to go into production early next year, just ahead of the debut of Power Book IV: Force, the fourth installment in this growing franchise. ” 50 Cent immediately spoke on social networks to celebrate the announcement with a tweet that said,” Season 3 is on its way, BOOM, GLG GreenLightGang. “
A season on a fund of structural readjustments
The rapper and media mogul has continued to expand the Power universe in impressive ways. He has already confirmed that another spin-off is in the works, titled Power Book IV: Force , and recorded the theme song for that spin-off. As the new series will follow Tommy Egan who leaves New York and travels to Chicago after Ghost’s death, 50 Cent enlisted the help of two of Chicago’s biggest stars to help write the theme – Lil Durk and Jeremih . “ Ok the FORCE theme song is done,” Fif wrote on Instagram on Nov. 29. “Me @lildurk and @jeremih soon! On the production side, it should be noted that the series’ executive producer, Courtney Kemp, will be stepping down as showrunner at the start of the third season after signing a deal with Netflix. Brett Mahoney, from the Empire series, will take over as executive producer and showrunner. Production is expected to start early 20
