UPDATE October 18: There are serious doubts as to whether the artist Malu Trevejo really joined Cactus Jack Records.
Travis Scott ‘manager David Stromberg publicly described the news as “fake”. Travis Scott himself has
not yet commented on the situation.
The Cactus Jack Records family is growing: So far, label founder Travis Scott has signed with Don Toliver,
Shack Wes and SoFaygo Artists, all of whom deliver promising musical performances. Now the 19-year-old
artist Malu Trevejo has been added, who has so far not only shone with her music, but also with popular
social media accounts – including OnlyFans.
Travis Scott signs content creator Malu Trevejo
Malu Trevejo became known with the TikTok predecessor app musical.ly. From the very young age of 13,
Trevejo uploaded lip sync and dance videos and then pursued her career on TikTok. On her 18th birthday,
she launched her own OnlyFans account, which has been growing steadily ever since. On her 19th birthday, she has now reached another milestone: the native Cuban announced on her Instagram
account (which incidentally has over 10 million followers) that she is now signed with Scotts Cactus Jack
Records. Thanks to her large following on social media, she has already made some acquaintances with
celebrities and rappers and so she celebrated her birthday not only with the announcement of her signing with
Cactus Jack Records, but also with a fat party in West Hollywood at the other Snoop Dogg, OT Genasis and
Young M.A. were present.
Malu brings reggaeton to Cactus Jack Records
Travis Scott (now streaming on Apple Music) is not the first name in the US rap game to be associated
with Malu’s preferred genre, reggaeton. Nevertheless, he seems to recognize the talent in the 19-year-old
and gives her a unique chance by signing with his label. What many in this country do not have on their radar:
Reggaeton is an extremely popular music genre in South America and also in the USA due to the amount of
Spanish-speaking countries and people there. It’s not for nothing that acts like J.Balvin, Bad Bunny and
Maluma have hundreds of thousands of views on their music videos on YouTube. As it currently seems, the label deal is a real stroke of luck for both the young artist Malu Trevejo and
Travis Scott and can turn into a promising collaboration in the future. Malu’s first single on Cactus Jack
Records will be released this week, October 22nd.
