Megan Thee Stallion isn’t letting financial paperwork slow down her fight for justice.
The Grammy-winning rapper has filed new court documents insisting that Florida law doesn’t require her to prove lost income to move forward with her defamation lawsuit against internet personality Milagro Gramz.

According to Megan’s legal team, Florida’s defamation laws allow public figures to seek damages for reputational harm — even without showing direct financial losses. Her attorneys emphasized that when someone is falsely accused of criminal activity, moral misconduct, or professional incompetence, the law automatically presumes mental anguish, humiliation, and damage to reputation.

The new filing comes after a pretrial hearing where Gramz’s defense claimed that Megan needed to provide concrete evidence of financial loss to receive compensation. Megan’s lawyers rejected that argument, calling it “flatly inconsistent with Florida precedent.”

Gramz’s attorney, Jeremy McLymont, had previously suggested Megan’s claims required proof of economic damage, but her team pushed back strongly. They argue that once a public figure proves actual malice — meaning the statements were knowingly false or made with reckless disregard for the truth — the court can presume damages automatically.

The Houston native first sued Milagro Gramz in 2024, accusing the blogger of using her platform to spread false and harmful claims about Megan’s personal life and career — allegedly on behalf of Tory Lanez.

Their feud dates back to the Tory Lanez shooting trial, where Gramz repeatedly accused Megan of lying about her injuries. Megan, who was shot in both feet in 2020, has since spoken about the emotional toll and online harassment she endured throughout and after the case.

Lanez was convicted in December 2022 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Megan’s lawsuit alleges that Gramz “weaponized her social media to spread conspiracies and misinformation,” causing long-term harm to her mental health and public image.

A federal judge in Miami is expected to rule soon on whether Megan’s defamation per se claim can move forward without requiring proof of financial loss — a decision that could set a major precedent in future celebrity defamation cases.
